Buonasera;)! Thank you to everyone who came to the last night of Slick for 2014 last Wednesday. Weve finished our first full year and its been eventful to say the least:)...had to move venues twice, changed the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, had technical issues with the music systems on occasions but weve only missed one night due to the venue not being available. Numbers, especially guys could have been better at times but all in all, Im happy and have learned loads. Thank you for bearing with me through all of that and for your support throughout the year! Ultimately, I hope you have all enjoyed learning and dancing Kizomba together. The aim of Slick is to learn basic, simple Kizomba as well as I know it so that we can all appreciate and enjoy the beauty of this dance and respect the person we are dancing with. Weve all made some good friends through dancing and had some good laughs. Goals for Slick in 2015 are to keep our current venue at The Pig and Whistle, keep rigidly to the stated times for the classes and plan all classes beforehand so there is structured improvement between January to December, start having our first monthly party in January…with cake:)… and, of course, increase the number of men who regularly come to dance. Last week really was a lot of fun, the atmosphere was lovely and there were moments when I could see exactly what I had imagined and hoped for. Loved the pictures! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, wish you all a Happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you again in the New Year. The first night back is Wednesday, 7th January.
