Buoyed by hearing from a dear old friend from Austin, Elizabeth, pulled out the scrapbooks and photo albums (member those?) with the birth of Alley Oops and our adventures on 6th Street. Amazed by what we actually accomplished. Photos of jam sessions with Bon Jovi, Rick James, Willie, Chick Corea, Edgar Winter! Chaka Kahn, Ray Charles , and the list goes on. Our huge staff, kids of our house bands. TV tapings, countless music videos, Spuds McKenzie commercial shoots, national reviews, we really thought it would last forever and were so unimpressed by the hoopla. Found the famous Nick Lucas pic! Kicking back in our booth upstairs with Willie, Ash, Mark and Nicky, Cheshire Cat indeed brother, but who was the redhead? We were BABIES. Just turned 23 and Mark freaking about being 30 in a year! Wishing we could reunite the tribe in Austin, just for a night. We were part of a magical era together, as beautifully told by the Foo Fighters Sonic Highway Austin. For all that were there, thanks for the beautiful memories.
