Burning Man 2014 Another journey with new friends and old. Let this one run smoother than last years struggles, from my expired passport of 8 months and still managing to get across the border, only for the van to die on the side of a highway, forcing me to rip a nut in the truck avoiding oncoming traffic to give a boost, a search for water containers that ends in us running out of the store, water jugs flopping from our hands, yelling run, run, we didnt pay for them (as a joke).. Let my intention for this burn be focused on coming face to face with my fears and self limiting beliefs. The struggle that was has provided the wisdom of dealing with what might come next. Perhaps we dont have progressively less bumpy of rides. we merely get smoother at adapting to the events that befall us. Coming Face to Face Your decision to enter into partnership should not be based on a desire to avoid looking at yourself, but on a willingness to intensify that process. When you live with other people, you are likely to trigger their unhealed wounds and they are likely to trigger yours. Becoming aware of the unhealed parts of you is neither pleasant nor easy. However, it is a necessary part of the journey to psychic wholeness. Relationship is like a giant backhoe. It digs down through the superficial layers of consciousness and exposes your deepest fears and insecurities. If you arent willing to look this deeply, you might want to question your desire to be in an intimate relationship. You cant get close to another person without coming face to face with yourself.
