Burnout among healthcare workers is becoming a global concern. - TopicsExpress

Burnout among healthcare workers is becoming a global concern. Healthcare workers work long hours with little support from agencies and the facilities they work within. One such example is that RNs working 12 hour shifts are not allowed to have any food or drink readily available to them. Even a closed top water bottle needs to be kept in a locked break room, which we know as healthcare workers, is a site rarely seen during a shift. Oftentimes, due to the working conditions imposed upon us by regulatory agencies such as JACHO, we often go 12 hours with quick sips of water, resulting less than 12 ounces within a 12 hour period, as we inhale our lunch.
