Burrinjuck Waters State park Fishing & Lake Report 21/08/13 Rain last 7 days: 27 mm Water level current: 49 % Water level: 14/08/13 48 % Current discharge: 763 ML per day. Current inflow: 2303 ML per day. Water visibility: up to 1.5 metres Forecast Weather: Showers predicted mid week & clearing for the weekend. Temps between 3 & 14 degrees C. Winds up to 8 K for Saturday and 12 K on Sunday afternoon. Full Moon = Aug 21st New Moon = Sep 5th Water Temperature: 12-14 deg Murray Cod: 1 to 3 fish per boat per day seems to be the average for the fisherman willing to brave the conditions and put in the time. Best fishing time seems to be the middle of the day with the sun on the water. Casting spinner baits to structure and along the steep rock walls has been productive but the guys trolling are also doing OK. Remember the closed season begins on the 1st of September. Yellow Belly: I have heard through the week that some fisherman have been doing ok bait fishing the trees on frozen shrimp or prawns up around the Scubby area. The yellows have been quite down our end of the dam except for a 64 cm whopper taken on a worm from the bank on the weekend. Redfin: No reports This Week Trout: No reports This Week Silver Perch: No reports this week Park News: The new cabins 11 & 12 have finally arrived this week and if all goes well will be up and running early in September. Cottage 10 as well as cabins 76-80 have now also been air conditioned ready for summer. Carley & Me will be appearing at the park over the October long weekend and the grand finals will also be shown on the big screen at the shop. Dean Brind Manager, Burrinjuck Waters State Park
