Bus garage called me back in a very timely manner, after leaving a message about wanting to check on Haydens bus status. They are always so nice anytime Ive ever had to call there. I think Chris and I made the right decision, having Hayden ride a regular bus vs. special ed. bus. This way, I dont have to call and cancel the bus if hes not riding it or sick. Plus, the special ed. bus comes really early. His bus comes just a few minutes before Danielles, and give him plenty of time to eat and get ready in the mornings. Please, please let this all go as smoothly as I have it built up in my head. Just depends on the drop off, I guess. My friend/neighbor has offered up her driveway as a second drop off, if needed. Its probably just over 100 yds. from our driveway to hers. Hayden cant walk down the road, but he can walk down the field. Not as big a deal if its not snowing or raining, but hell be soaked if it is. Well see how it goes next week. Cant believe the kids are headed back already. I had conflicting feelings today. I will miss them, and wish we had more time to do more. I think they are restless, though. Maybe getting back to a school routine is a good thing. Danielle is excited. She loves school. Hayden is starting fresh in a brand new school. Hes a bit concerned, as expected.
