Bush on Raila Sunday August 10, 2014 - On Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is currently in the United States, met former US President, George W. Bush, where the two discussed about oil and gas exploration in Kenya. Uhuru and Bush, who met privately at the George W. Bush Presidential Centre in Dallas, Texas, discussed a wide range of issues including politics in Kenya. But what shocked Uhuru’s entourage is how George Bush referred to former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga. Bush asked Uhuru Kenyatta on whether his Government has been able to arrest “rebel leader, Raila Odinga. But Uhuru who looked confused said Raila Odinga is not a rebel leader but an opposition leader. “Oh I apologise for comparing Raila Odinga with Joseph Kony of Uganda who is hiding in Congo forest, but the two look the same,” Bush said. Addressing Kenyans living in US after meeting Bush, Uhuru said he held fruitful discussions with the former US President, who during his tenure in office dedicated massive US aid to combat HIV/ Aids in Africa. “It was a great moment to meet up with him. He is a man who has done so much in the fight against HIV/ Aids,” Uhuru said.
