About the Opportunity AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting position available for someone wanting to pursue an administrative career. In this position, you will be legally employed by AFL SportsReady for a 12 month duration and undertake a traineeship with an accredited Certificate III Business qualification. Working for our Host Employer; Federal Court of Australia, the successful trainee will receive paid on the job training and education. Reporting to the Regional Coordinator Melbourne office the primary purpose of this role will be to provide well-developed administrative skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of administrative contexts. Duties & Responsibilities • Undertaking routine administrative tasks for the Melbourne office, such as coordinating receipt, registering and distribution of mail and/or documents, photocopying, filing and answering telephones • Providing administrative assistance to the Regional Coordinator, Melbourne Office, Senior Case Management Assistant and to Case Managers and Members of the Tribunal, • Providing information on native title processes to stakeholders, including responding to written and telephone enquiries and providing assistance to stakeholders, including coordinating and conducting searches of Tribunal registers and initiating requests for tenure information and maps. • Following detailed procedures for various administrative tasks, including entering on Tribunal databases the details of new and amended applications, Federal Court orders, agreements, registration test results and the notification of applications. • Other duties as directed by the Regional Coordinator – Melbourne office. Note: Tasks and duties of the role may change from time to time with the operational needs of the organisation.
