Business Analyst (Energy and Environment Practice) Strategic Decisions Group Palo Alto, CA Job Type: Full Time Strategic Decisions Group (sdg), the premier, decision-focused management consulting firm, is seeking candidates for the Business Analyst position in our Palo Alto office and we are quite interested in hiring Stanford students. We are particularly interested in someone with a strong interest in the Energy and Environment practice. POSITION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Business Analyst position at SDG provides exceptional opportunities for rapid career growth and professional development. It is designed as a three-year, full-time position. During the first two to three years with SDG, Business Analysts develop outstanding problem-solving, research, communication, and analytic skills through formal training and on-the-job mentoring. Job responsibilities include industry, market, and company research, creating financial models, conducting interviews, synthesizing insights, drawing conclusions, and developing and making presentations to clients. Because direct interaction with clients is an integral part of the analyst role, Business Analysts should expect to travel regularly. After completing three years at SDG, many analysts have chosen to attend leading MBA programs, including those at Tuck, Stanford, INSEAD, and Harvard. Other analysts are invited to remain at SDG beyond three years, progressing into MS- and MBA-level roles as Associate Consultants and Consultants.
