Business Development Executive Contribute effectively to the sales strategy for the region, with a clear plan for own sales and practical actions for short, medium and long term achievement. Develop new business by targeting accounts in line with the national business strategy, with operational priorities and the budget. Opening, professional implementation (bedding down) and interim servicing and monitoring of service-provision to new accounts. Developing and maintaining an ongoing pipeline / list of prospective clients. Maintaining own existing client base and managing relationship with customers until handover to Customer Relations personnel. Manage territory efficiently and economically by covering it on a planned schedule basis. Ensure client records are kept up to date in master files. Collecting and analyzing customer, market and competitor information. Coordinating marketing activity with others and improving lead generation. Preparation of proposals, profiles, presentations and business development reports. Completing of sales reports. Quote clients appropriately following correct procedures and requirements. Explaining of rates and regulations regarding road and air transportation. Research of client?s business in order to expand services to available customers. Communicate with inbound and outbound operations and management regarding customer inquiries To be successful in the above role, the incumbent should possess and be able to display the following key skills, experience and attributes: Proven track record in dealing with customers on a high level and sales achievement . Degree or Diploma advantageous. 10 years? experience in a business development capacity. Knowledge of Sales processes in a. Relevant technical, clearing and forwarding industry experience. The ability to correctly identify customers needs and to offer competitive solutions. Good interpersonal skills. Must be confident and assertive. Must have a sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines. Ability to maintain professionalism and corporate standards at all times. Advanced computer literacy. Ms Office:- Word, Excel, PowerPoint We will also seek evidence of the following characteristics and abilities: Customer orientated Self discipline, integrity and reliability Ability to work independently.
