Business Development Manager GMC Global - US The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the acquisition of new clients, and the establishment of productive and profitable relationships with external clients. This role is a key position to formulate innovative business development strategies with our leadership team. Key elements of employment will include the assessment of operational issues regarding competitiveness, the ability to stay current in trends and innovations that impact our business interests, and build brand recognition in the market. Responsibilities * Create and execute Annual Business Plan and Customer Account Plans, aligned with strategic objectives. These will include identifying prospective Oil and Gas customers for Maintenance, Supply Chain & Reliability Projects. * Proactively develop, maintain & manage solid relationships, at Executive and cross-functional levels both within the organization and with target industrial customers. * Recognize customer business goals & challenges in relation to develop related products & services to resolve these challenges. * Develop, maintain and share relevant market insight related to the Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical customer activities & needs, evolving changes & prospective impacts. Actively participate in strategic plan development in relation to these insights. * Establish and maintain an appropriate pipeline of qualified target prospects and collaborate internally to identify, create and execute on related opportunities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer related transactions are effectively and efficiently delivered to Customer. Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge Previous Related Work Experience required * Minimum of 5 years of industry related business development / sales experience, within the Oil and Gas sector. (Oil & Gas, Oil sands, other energy related) * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Maintenance, Supply Chain and Reliability practices. * Existing relationships and contacts in the Oil and Gas sector in North America. Proven ability to identify customer issues and create prospective solutions using solid negotiating and deal structuring skills * Solid relationship and project management skills. Proven ability to collaborate successfully with customers; and cross-functional or senior level Executive teams is critical. Education required * A Bachelors degree or College diploma Special Skills and/or Knowledge required * Knowledge and integration experience with multiple EAM/ERP modules. * Good understanding of Maintenance Processes * Basic understanding of Supply Chain Processes * Basic understanding of equipment strategies definition * Well-balanced interpersonal skills and demonstrable verbal and written communication skills. * Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. * Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions. * Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision. * Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies. * Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes with the ability to resolve complex issues/problems. * Ability to organize, schedule and prioritize project and individual work to meet various schedules and objectives. * Ability to successfully perform the required and expected duties with minimal direct supervision. Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines. * Ability to organize work effectively, reprioritize as new demands arise, and maintain strict confidentiality. * Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job. Special Equipment/Computer Knowledge Required * Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
