My client is an entrepreneurial, award winning UK distributor of premium beauty brands that has achieved double digit growth year on year since its inception 6 years ago. They pride themselves on their brand selection and customer service. They have three brands which are best in class; the first is Elle’s No1 Beauty obsession right now and is a cult, celebrity endorsed product made with natural ingredients now stocked in Harvey Nichols, Space NK, M&S to name a few and is prevalent in travel retail. This product achieves instantly visible results in just 10 minutes from application and has enjoyed widespread acclaim and coverage in all the leading beauty journals and style magazines. Since its launch in this country 18 months ago, the UK is now No2 bestselling country out of 53 countries worldwide, with only the USA in front. The next brand is a “best in category” tanning range aimed at both the home tanning and professional market which has won 25 awards in the last two years alone. The amazing self-tanner will be launched in 200 high street stores across the UK with one major retailer in the next month, further elevating the brand and increasing market share of the “at home” tanning market. There are more revolutionizing tanning products in the pipeline to go to market with this year as the company continues to innovate and extend the range. The final brand is a 100% organic skin care “Doctor Brand” with the ability to take 15 years off the age of any skin, at a price point that is affordable to all. Having enjoyed product placement in all the major retailers our client now needs a sales driven, commercial business development manager to open new accounts within the pharmacy, spa, hotel, leisure and salon channels in the London and Greater London area. Excited? Then read on... The role: Reporting to the Managing Director you will:- • Work from a fully equipped home based office on territory, you will make and travel to customer appointments in the London and Greater London area five days per week • Undertake a true new business sales role, selling the entire range into the independent London retailers e.g., beauty salons, hair salons, hotels, health & wellness centres as well as pharmacies and organic stores by proactive selling in and then selling through any existing relationships in place and new product placement • Identify and open new accounts with the leading UK pharmacy, spa and salon chains such as Lloyd’s Pharmacy, Alliance Pharmacy, Numark, Superdrug, Champney’s, Mal Maison, Wholefoods etc. • To build a continual and ongoing prospect list by an awareness of the market and its trends and spotting new sales opportunities in London and Greater London areas • Arrange meetings and close new orders with key buyers and decision makers to include Beauty Buyers, Managing Directors, Spa or Salon Managers/Owners etc. in all accounts and arrange repeat customer meetings at regular intervals to maintain strong working relationships • Be the face of the company to the customers and represent the brands accurately at all times • Candidate will be expected to achieve agreed KPIS and targets. The Requirements: • The successful candidate must be located in the London area, so that they can comfortably cover the territory of London and surrounding areas. • Be a true commercial sales and business manager with the ability to create accounts and support customers to sell more products each month • A proven track record of selling beauty products to UK spa’s, salon, pharmacies is essential • You will need to have worked successfully in nail, colour cosmetics, skincare, tanning, face, body, anti-aging, hair care or equivalent beauty category sales to the relevant retail partners • Be able to identify new market opportunities such as the growing natural and organic retail industry to drive sales • Be passionate about products and beauty to act as the “brand ambassador” of these best in class and cult products • Above all you will be a self-starter with a real hunger for success and the ability to act autonomously in a target driven, field based sales role • Having great organization skills and excellent communication skills both oral and written is a must • Willingness to travel across Central London and to the head offices of the retail chains across the UK as and when required is essential Package & Potential: • Fully equipped, home based office • Excellent remuneration package on offer; true sales success will be rewarded monetarily • Highly autonomous role where you have the freedom to manage your own diary and sales channels in order to achieve • High growth company with excellent systems in place and team members you can be proud to work with; open door policy with direct access to the founder and MD • The opportunity to sell brands that consumers know and love into a new channel that you will personally create • A highly visible role – really make a difference through your work to the success of the business • Such an exciting time to join a great business that is still growing and going places that you can personally shape through your own sales success Apply today by calling me, Emma Howarth, directly on 01132 433 499 or email me your CV to Emma@langtonhowarth.
