Business Forum of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business – Direct Dialogue between Georgian Businessmen and Israeli Experts 3 Business Forums in 2014 On March 12, 2014 on the initiative of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) a business forum – dialogue will be held in Tbilisi between the Georgian businessmen and the Israeli experts. The topic of the forum is “Israeli Investments for the Development of the Tourism Industry”. According to Itsik Moshe, Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) President, the activities of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) in 2014 were mainly focused on attracting Israeli investments into the tourism industry. This is the purpose of the upcoming Tbilisi forum that will provide opportunities for a direct dialogue concerning future collaboration between the Georgian businessmen and the Israeli investors. This is the first attempt on the part of the Georgian businessmen to be involved in interactions with Israeli investors. The Georgian businessmen will be given an opportunity to engage in dialogue and get acquainted with the potential. The Forum that has the slogan “Find your partner”, has scheduled presentations of field specialists invited from Israel, Italy and Turkey. The presentations will focus on the following issues: phases of development of tourism industry in Israel and Turkey, deepening cooperation with Israel and direct business connections; involvement of banks in the development of Israeli tourism industry; alternatives of Israeli investors. The event which is partnered by the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Georgian National Tourism Administration is supported by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. From the Israeli side, the forum will be attended by business companies representing over 100.000 businessmen. For the matter under discussion Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) is planning to collaborate also with the Georgian Co-Investment Fund. Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) considers it to be essential for the Georgian business to be more involved in business interactions with the Israeli side. For that purpose, we are planning to explore business potential as well as deepen collaboration with the Israeli investors without intermediaries. By the end of 2014 we will organize three focused business forums as follows: on March 12 the Forum-dialogue between Georgian businessmen from tourism industry and the Israeli experts will be held. In may the Israeli businesswomen delegation will visit Georgia. In May we are also planning to bring Georgian businessmen to Israel and to launch a large business forum; in the fall we will summarize the year on two business forums and will discuss new ways of collaboration”, announces Itsik Moshe. The presentation of Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB)’s updated website is also scheduled for the Business Forum to be held on March 12. From now on Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) and Israeli Chamber of Commerce will jointly publish business proposals on collaboration with the Georgian side via the website. According to Itsik Moshe, Israel-Georgia Chamber of Business (IGCOB) President, the website will offer multiple services to the Georgian businessmen, namely, online tenders will be held, business proposals from the Georgian side will be published on the website that will stimulate active investments. Georgian businessmen will be provided with free lectures on business culture; a preliminary research will be conducted, forums will be held, etc. All the aforementioned services will be financed by Israeli Chamber of Commerce.
