Business Owners: Do you create monthly sales goals/forecasts for your businesses? This was a requirement in my position in corporate America that I hated and 2014 was the first year I implemented them in my own business. The result: rather than just try to get business, I have specific numbers that I need to hit each month. These numbers are a stretch. Want to know how well this works? As of today, I am at 100% of my goal that I created in December 2013 for June 2014. In fact, Im exactly $1 short. Why does this matter? I am at 202% of the revenue made in June 2013 and 253% of June 2012 revenue. In other words, I made twice as much because I set a GOAL.
