Business Owners Recognized During National Small Business Week Please join the Clovis and Portales Chambers of Commerce as well as the New Mexico Small Business Development Center in honoring small business owners in the community during National Small Business Week which will be celebrated June 17th through June 21st. There are over 2,389 registered businesses in the Clovis-Portales Microplex. These businesses play an integral role in the economic sustainability of our communities, and Small Business Week offers the perfect opportunity to recognize them for their accomplishments. The Clovis/Curry County Chamber, Portales/Roosevelt County Chamber, and the New Mexico Small Business Development Center have partnered to bring events to the business market during Small Business Week. On June 19th, the Clovis Chamber will hold its monthly board meeting and will recognize local business owners for their entrepreneurial spirit. On Thursday, June 20th at 7 a.m., both the Clovis and Portales Chambers will host a live streaming network event "Breakfast With Fran" with Fran Tarkenton. Tarkenton, one of the speakers at this years’ National Small Business Week celebration, is a hands-on entrepreneur, NFL Hall of Famer, founder of GoSmallBiz and LegalShield partner.
