Business Owners and Community Supporters, This summer, the 2014-2015 Ennis High School Lionettes and Paw Power Booster Club began conducting their Annual Boot Backer Fundraiser. The Lionettes work very hard throughout the year to be good role models, dancers & students. They are part of an award winning organization that has represented EHS, EISD and our community faithfully for 27 years. As we enter our 27th season, our plans for this year have become evident as we reflect on the success of this past year. This past year, we were able to accomplish many great things with the help of our Boot Backers. Our homecoming dance clinic has continued to grow each year. The first year it was held we had thirty five young dancers, last year we had sixty participants, and this past fall we had an overwhelming ninety! This allowed us to have 120 dancers for the homecoming pre-game performance. Our Lions took us along for a great ride through the playoffs this past fall and to Cowboys Stadium to perform. Contributions helped to provide additional meals for our students as our performance schedule extended. We were also able to attend two competitions this past year; one of which was in San Antonio, Texas. Our Lionettes brought home top awards at both competitions which included: two grand champion titles. This upcoming year our goals will be to: purchase new rain ponchos, add additional props, visit college dance teams, and to continue to offer scholarships as our Lionette membership steadily increases.
