Business: Qatar Airways to increase flight frequency to Nairobi Beginning 1st September 2013, Qatar Airways will increase flight frequency to and from Nairobi to 18 flights per week, up from the current 14 flights. This move was welcomed by the cabinet secretary in charge of commerce and tourism, Phyllis Kandie who expressed confidence that it will contribute positively towards Kenya’s economic growth. “For visitors, the increased availability to fly to Nairobi directly from the international hub of Doha enables passengers to reach our country with more ease than ever before. All this contributes to the economic growth of Kenya and towards the achievement of our vision 2030 goals, “said Kandie. Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 16 years of operations, currently flying a modern fleet of 125 aircraft to 128 key business and leisure destinations worldwide.
