Business Tip of the Day: Listen....very......closely..... Your prospects will tell you everything you know about their mindset...if you listen to what they are saying....and HOW they say it. You can tell VERY quickly what kind of person you are dealing with. If someone has a broke mentality, they will ask How much does it COST to start. A business minded person that sees the potential of financial gain in starting a business will ask What is the initial INVESTMENT. There is a MAJOR difference in these. Even business minded people may ask about COST if they dont see it. They may not see the vision. You have to get better at painting it. (See business tip from a couple days ago). Another thing prospects will say is I dont know a lot of people. Translated is: I have no intention of talking to anyone about this. They dont see it. Or they may say I dont have the time. Translated: I am not willing to make the time. ....because they DONT SEE IT. Or I dont have the money right now. Translated: I do, but I DONT SEE IT so why would I throw money away! I mean lets be real. If they saw it, they could go wash cars to raise the money. I would!! When you get these objections its not that they are real....although they think they are...its that they really dont see the big picture. They dont see themselves IN the story. The story is still out of reach to them. They are not staying awake at night dreaming of possibility...they arent daydreaming either. On the flip side, the person that sees it will say things like I cant wait to get my kit, website, product, etc. Or I know everyone or I can do this on nights and weekends. They SEE themselves IN the story!!! Listen closely. If youre getting objections - dont address them. Dont try to argue or talk them out of their thoughts with clever tactics like Of course you have money, if you needed $500 for a new kidney tomorrow, you would find it. That just makes them feel stupid. Instead, when you get an objection, ignore it and say Well, I clearly havent done my job giving you information if you say you want to start but you dont have money. I clearly havent shown you how lucrative our model is. Lets review the plan again... Listen more than you talk. People are always trying to tell you exactly how they feel...
