Busy at home....Canning is almost complete. Doing more salsa today. We started canning peaches with Becky last Friday (35 quarts done there). Bill and I finished canning the peaches from Beckys tree when Brandon got sacked at his first football game of the season and his leg was broken requiring surgery. Learning to get around on crutches and in a wheelchair. No more football this year. Bill and I canned 27 quarts of peaches on Sunday and 26 quarts of pears over Monday and Tuesday. We will have 25 pints of salsa when done today. Last week Bill got out the power saw and pruners to clean out an area of shrubs and trees that had gone wild. If you know Bill, you know he is happy with a power saw and the promise of starting a fire. Next project is replacing our roof. The dumpster was delivered this morning and he could hardly wait to get on the roof. He is up there now - happy as a clam at high tide. He earned his nickname - billy goat.
