Busy day today at NACO (National Association of Counties). Today was Committee Meetings, I sit on the Public Lands Steering Committee. This is one of the most active Committees within NACO, and in my opinion one of the most important. These Committees take positions and pass resolutions to help drive Policy nationwide. NACO staff take the efforts of these committees and then attempt to Lobby, Create Legislation, Oppose Legislation, or negotiate solutions to align Policy with those created through these committees. Today the Public Lands Committee had 41 Resolutions to review and adopt. As you can see from the list below the Utah delegation is on of the most active in this committee. A couple of resolutions drew criticism and pushback but for the most part it was a very successful day for Utah and Utah Counties. Below is a list of resolutions we are working on.
