Busy week at Merlewood Angus with couple of very late nights - and not it wasnt baling silage or hay!! Parents arrived late Monday night from the UK so we didnt get back to Merlewood until the wee hours of the morning. The other 8 acres of summer crop went in - though judging by the season this year we may not need as much BUT it gives us hay in the shed which is money in the bank as means we were able to lock up more pastures for hay. Tuesday (again after midnight) Irelands Hemsworth H160 (AI) arrives and has settled in extremely well. Happily servicing his girls straight off the truck - now thats keen ! Wednesday morning catching up on some much needed zzzzzzz! Today flushing our the three donor cows and inserting the fresh eggs into our Recipient Cows. What have you been up to this week on your farm ?
