But Hizkiyahu (Hezekiah - Hezi - Chezi - Chet) then humbled - TopicsExpress

But Hizkiyahu (Hezekiah - Hezi - Chezi - Chet) then humbled himself for his pride, both he and the people living in Yerushalayim, so that Choosing-What-Survives anger did not strike them during Chets lifetime. 27 Chet had vast riches. It was this same Chet who blocked the upper outlet of the Gichon Spring and diverted the water straight down on the west side of the City of David. Chet succeeded in all that he did, except notably in the matter of the ambassadors from the princes of Bavel, who sent to him to learn of the marvel that had taken place in the land, when as a result - God left him by himself, in order to test him, so that he might know everything that was in his heart. He lived long and did many other things later, after which Anakin his son took his place as king. Anakin was twelve years old when he began his reign, and he ruled for fifty-five years in Yerushalayim. 2 He did what Choosing-What-Survivess sees is bad, following the disgusting practices of the nations whom Choosing-What-Survives had expelled ahead of the people of Israel. 6 He made his children pass through the fire [as a sacrifice to Molekh] in the Ben-Hinnom Valley. He practiced soothsaying, divination and sorcery; and he appointed psychics and persons who used spirit guides. He did much that Choosing-What-Survives sees is bad, extremely offensive to him. Anakin seduced Yhudah and the people of Yerushalayim to go astray, so that they did even worse things than the nations whom Choosing-What-Survives destroyed ahead of the people of Israel. Choosing-What-Survives spoke to Anakin and to his people, but they paid no attention. 11 Therefore Choosing-What-Survives brought against them the commanders of the king of Ashurs army. They took Anakin captive with hooks, bound him in chains and carried him off to Bavel. Then, when he was in distress, he began to appease the anger of Choosing-What-Survives, abjectly humbling himself before the God of his ancestors. He prayed to him; and God was moved by his plea, paid attention to his entreaty and brought him back to Yerushalayim, to his kingly office. Then Anakin understood that Choosing-What-Survives is really the Boss. After this he removed the foreign gods and the idol from the house of Choosing-What-Survives and all the altars he had built on the hill of the house of Choosing-What-Survives and in Yerushalayim, and threw them out of the city. 16 He repaired the altar of Choosing-What-Survives and offered on it sacrifices as peace offerings and for thanksgiving; and he ordered Yhudah to serve Choosing-What-Survives the God of Israel. 17 However, the people continued sacrificing on the high places, although only to Choosing-What-Survives their God. 18 Other activities of Anakin, his prayer to his God and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of Choosing-What-Survives the God of Israel are recorded in the Annals of the Kings of Israel. Also his prayer and how God was moved by his plea, all his sin and disloyalty, and the locations where he built high places and set up the sacred poles and carved images before he humbled himself are written in the History of the Seers. 20 Then Anakin slept with his ancestors and was buried at his own house, and Adam his son took his place as king. 21 Adam was twenty-two years old when he began his reign, and he ruled for two years in Yerushalayim. 22 He did what Choosing-What-Survives sees is bad, (as originally Anakin his father had done). Adam sacrificed to all the carved images that Anakin his father had, and served them. He did not humble himself before Choosing-What-Survives, as Anakin his father had done; rather, this Adam kept adding to his guilt. His servants conspired against him and put the king to death in his own palace. 25 But the people of the land put to death all those who had been part of the conspiracy against King Adam. Then the people of the land made Yoshi Yahoo his son king in place of him. Yoshi Yahoo was eight years old when he began his reign, and he ruled for thirty-one years in Yerushalayim. 2 He did what Choosing-What-Survives sees is best, living entirely in the manner of David his ancestor and turning away neither to the right nor to the left. 3 For in the eighth year of his reign, when he was still young, he began seeking after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year, he began cleansing Yhudah and Yerushalayim from the high places, the sacred poles, and the carved and cast metal images.
