But IIFYM... Great video, but not only is a junk diet unhealthy long-term, it is not optimal for MUSCLE MASS. It is not possible to OPTIMIZE protein synthesis, nitrogen retention, and cortisol modulation eating IIFYM. Protein is comprised of amino acids, fat is comprised of lipids, and carbs are comprised of saccharides. There are 21 amino acids, essential and non-essential, that in different arrangements produce different sources of protein (dairy, egg, fish, chicken, beef, soy, etc.). There are all different types of lipids like EPA, DHA, CLA, trans-fat, and all different monosaturated and polyunsaturated lipids that in different arrangements produces different sources of fat (dairy fat, egg fat, vegetable fats, fish fats, etc.). There are all types of saccharides like sucrose, glucose, fructose, starch, and cellulose that in different arrangements produce different sources of carbs (various fruits and vegetables, grains, beans, lactose, galactose, etc.) Each source of protein has a unique amino acid profile, every source of fat has a unique lipid profile, and every carbohydrate source has a unique saccharide profile. This explains why egg protein is superior to soy, fish fat superior to crisco, and potatoes superior to table sugar. Thats not even taking into consideration MICRONUTRIENT PROFILES..
