But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lοʀᴅ, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. . . Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. Micah 7:7, 18 “My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.” When we think of the word, “hope,” we tend to think in a secular manner. “I hope it doesn’t rain.” “I hope I got a good grade.” “I hope you have a happy birthday.” In those instances, there is nothing certain or sure about our hopes. However, hope based upon Jesus is an entirely different thing, grounded in certainty. When we place our hope and trust in Jesus, we can be sure that He will work everything out for our good. No other god can do that because no other god died for us, bearing the weight of our sins on his shoulders. Jesus is the reason we can approach the throne of God in prayer asking for forgiveness of our sins. Because of His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave, we have the hope of eternal life in Heaven with Him and with our Almighty Father. We don’t have to wait to see IF our future in Heaven will happen. That, my friends, is a SURE THING! Memory Verse Week 35: He has showed you, O man, what is good.
