But before people can ask the Lord for help, they must believe in him; and before they can believe in him, they must hear about him; and for them to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them; and before someone can go and tell them, that person must be sent. It is written, “How beautiful is the person who comes to bring good news.” ~ Romans 10:14-15 I was fourteen years old and going through my season of depression. I remember sitting at my best friends house all day crying. I dont know if she asked me what was wrong, but I know I didnt tell her. How could I admit to the battle that was raging on inside my head? Towards the end of the day, she did the best thing-she invited me to church with her. I had never gone to church before. The stories I knew from childhood of Jesus and David and Goliath seemed as real as the fairy tales I knew. I was desperate for the pain inside my soul to stop, so I went. First to youth group, then to church. About nine months later, I accepted Christ. I thank God often for my friend who took the time to invite me. God wants all Christian to spread His gospel. We dont need to stand on street corners with signs or hand out tracks. God wants us to love others with His love. He wants us to encourage others in the Word and in fellowship. Ive heard it said before Share the gospel, and when necessary, use words. Be an inviter, an encourager, a person that believes Gods promises and lets others know. “How beautiful is the person who comes to bring good news. I pray you will move your beautiful feet this week in the direction the Lord leads. You never know the difference you will make in someones eternity.
