But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, - TopicsExpress

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law" (Galatians 5:22-23). If you’re a student in a school or a secretary in a firm, there are things required of you by the reason of your position in that school or office. These requirements won’t change your position or status, they’ll only make you effective. We are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). But there are requirements for righteousness and they’re listed in the scripture above, and love is the greatest of them all. The Kingdom of God is in love and it’s the sign of a Christian (1 John 3:14). Love isn’t just an outward sign, it’s firstly of the heart (I John 3:18). The only commandment Jesus Christ gave us in the New Testament is “to love one another as He has loved us” (John 13:34). If you keep it, you’ve fulfilled the Law of Moses (Romans 13: 8-10). In fact, spiritual maturity is measured by the love demonstration because your love for God is expressed by your love for others. The good thing is love isn’t foreign to you as you already have it in your spirit; it’s been poured into your heart by the Holy Ghost (Romans 5:5) so it’ll be wrong for you to pray for the ability to love. If you submit yourself to do God’s Word, you’ll automatically live it out from your heart. God is more than a loving God; He is love! (I John 4:8). Assent to God’s ruling and working through you by living a life full of love. If you only greet those who greet you or smile only at those who smile at you, you’re not different from the rest of the world (Matthew 5:46-47). Destroy that diary filled with records of people who offended you. Overcome evil with good and you will always triumph, because love triumphs!
