But who can endure the day of His coming (Malachi 3:2). Jesus first coming was quiet, but what will His second advent be like? Jesus first coming showed how shallow peoples convictions really were. They were looking for their Messiah, but when He was standing right in front of them, they rejected Him. Even then, His death shook the earth and darkened the heavens. Imagine how these people are going to feel when He returns, and He summons them to stand before Him! And then theres His beloved, blood-washed people, looking forward to His return. Let us examine ourselves, reassuring ourselves of our place among His people, so that His coming wont worry us in the least. Amen.
