But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, - TopicsExpress

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a PECUILAR people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; ~1 Peter 2:9 By definition, peculiar means strange or odd. If youre truly following Christ and pursuing His holiness, to the world and even Christians who are content to pitch a tent and stay where they are or the nominal Christians you are STRANGE or ODD. Youve made the decision to forsake rather than partake of the worldly spirit as many Christians do and because of this, you will be labeled a radical who takes this Jesus thing much too seriously. Youll lose worldly friends because during the time youve spent with Him, His glory will be made manifest on your person just as it was with Moses and the light of God shining through you will expose their sin and convict them. Remember the light is hated by everyone whose acts are evil and he does not come to the light for fear that his acts will be seen but many Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. If someone were to hand a person two pictures--one of you (a Christian) and another of an unbeliever, both labeled A and B could that person differentiate you from the unbeliever or would there be little to no difference?
