Bw. Wiper has virtually lost grip of Ukambani and soon will disappear into political oblivion. Only yesterday Kalonzo held a meeting of Kamba leaders and persuaded residents of Makueni County to put on hold their planned petition to President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve the County due to unending political wrangles pitting MCAs against Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana, they have gone ahead to do exactly the opposite. This is after residents flocked Nairobi this afternoon ready to present their petition, accompanied by 50, 000 signatures, to President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy hon. Ruto at State House to dissolve Makueni County and call for fresh elections to have a new crop of leaders that will work together and in harmony. Wiper had warned that dissolving Makueni County would give it and Kambas a bad reputation among others in the country. “We condemn any attempts to have Makueni County dissolved. We do not want Makueni County to have the bad reputation of becoming the first among the 47 Counties to have been dissolved,” begged Kalonzo.
