By Allah, today I was asked about the establishment of a caliphate by a not-yet-Muslim colleague. I was shocked by the question because it was the first thing he asked... But I was more shocked by his response... he said he always held a negative view about Muslims and that was due to his ignorance and mainstream media. But, knowing many Muslims he said it was impossible for Muslims to be all terrorists... Then to my surprise, he said, the Muslims have been persecuted in soo many places and their disunity is a result of not having any leadership. He went on to say that he understands the current need to re-establish the caliphate.... Islam is neither a marxist ideology or communist one... It is a faith that sees no seperation between Islam and politics and these people (I.e ISIS) have a conviction to establish a caliphate... Which makes it something interesting to see unfold either in my lifetime or our childrens... Subhanallah! May Allah guide this man! Ameen.
