And someone is asking why on earth Nigerians are failing WAEC with pump and pageantry, like its their birth right? Who is fooling who? We beg for who will build this country standing on a precipice but we bask in a ghost a carnival, a charade, a jamboree high on political, tribal and religious Canabis. So we see VISIONS: 20:20:20, 2015, 2050 . . . And dream dreams: The largest economy under Jupiter, good people, great nation, THE giant OF AFRICA! . . . LORD teach us how to pray! The present reality! Our children who once took pride in burning the midday sun and midnight candle studying to become doctors are dropping out of MEDICAL school to pursue a musical career, or a career in comedy (not when the Dr in Nigeria is now damned by Nigeria) How sad, how sad our sadness!!! Rather than build herds of world class Tertiary Healthcare Centres and fleets of functioning Primary Healthcare Centres, Nigeria and Nigerians are plunged into a confusion as to what the Medical Practise really is. Hippocrates must be laughing his lungs out asking . . . Are they kidding me?. And what do we get? Unorthodox health practitioners (TBAs, Bone setters, herbalists, ritualists, spiritualists gang up with faith healers to run the health of THE giant OF AFRICA dressed in Sutan or Caftan for ward coats. They lead a nation through ritualistic Midnight Salt baths and cocktails of salt and Psalms to Valleys of deep shadows, and trust us Nigerians - we still fear no EVIL. So we succumb to colonisation by India, Kenya, China, and recolonisation by Britain to ease our far-fetched aches and pains, symptoms of a malady we ourselves made . . . Dear LORD teach us how to pray!!! Lo, Our Universities (and the downtrodden ASUU)! A system and its captains so distraught they now release certificate holders for graduates - and why not?!?. Made worthless by the situation they set to salvage the Nigerian teacher and lecturer is defeated and depleted - numerically, structurally, and functionally by Nigeria. Without knowing we are now colonised by Ghana. . . . LORD teach us how to pray! A Centenary celebration is deserving! Because her MEDICAL profession is fast failing, her Education is literally made illiterate by fools made thoughtful as the wise are made otherwise. I wont tell you that her Technology industry is as Manual as a poorly written manual. In this jet age stand a nation is still flying kite and pinging.
