By Mehdi Hyseni Ph.D Tuesday, February 26, 2008 9:23 am Essay By Mehdi Hyseni* Bye Colonial Serbia, for ever! ***THE SERBIAN NEW FORMULA: KOSOVA IN SERBIA AND SERBIA IN EUROPE IS AN ANTI-EUROPEAN, ANTI-DEMOCRATIC, UNCIVILIZED AND ANTI-ALBANIAN FORMULA So long as Serbias Belgrade-based government continues to practice the Great-Serbian and genocidal politics of the previous uncivilized, anti-democratic, anti-Albanian, anti-European and anti-American regime of criminal-in-chief, Slobodan Milosevic, proclaiming the notion that Kosova is an integral part of Serbias territory, it will remain clear why negotiations in Vienna between Serbian and Albanian work groups, led by international envoy of the United Nations Security Council Marti Ahtisari, were marked by abortive epilog (2006). Throughout the duration of these negotiations, the euro-international community played acrobatics with real politics while practicing no political realism at all. Had there been an observance of political realism, then justly the international community would not have consulted the Belgrade government similar to that of the handling of a pampered child (and after Serbias commitment of ten colonial genocides in Kosova and Ethnic Albania during the time period of 1842-1999), but instead would consider the reality of the terrain in Kosova. By this, they would abide to the provisions of the United Nations Chart and International Law norms that are in favor of the historical and self-determination rights of Albanians and Kosova. After all, historically since 1371 Kosova had been a part of the Albanian feudal state of the Balshajs which was then conquered by the Ottoman Empire 18 years later in 1389. Kosova has always been a part of the greater Illyrian culture and was formally tied to the Balshajs over six centuries ago, proving that Kosova has been an inalienable part of ethnic Albanian identity. This neither has a connection with being the Serbian cradle and heart nor with Serbia, as has been proclaimed through centuries of the politics, propaganda and diplomacy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Great Serbia. In this context, Kosova is not a matter of territorial dispute, because historically it has been an integral part of Ethnic Albania. However there are two prevalent irrational and outlaw factors that make the optimal solution for Kosova problematic: (1) the regressive politics of Great-Serbian colonialism which even today , after the overturn of the anti-Albanian and genocidal regime of Slobodan Milosevic, continues to consider Albanian Kosova as its legal and legitimate property and (2) the traditional real politics of the new Bismark in todays so called integral, multiethnic and democratic European nations; the unabashed bias in their political philosophy made evident in their decisions to include Serbia in an international debate to resolve Kosovas status. If all of the actors and mentors who are involved in Kosovas issue aim to truly resolve it in the interest of both Albanians and Serbian parts, then its necessary for them to consider the historical, democratic and juridical-geopolitical criterion in order to designate both parties with what legally belongs to them. Serbia must remain within its natural Chetnik Serbian Shumadia borders, whereas Kosova ought to remain in that place where it has been forever cradled: Ethnic Albania. Justified historically, politically and democratically, this would be the optimal and the only right compromise that could reconcile these two antagonized parties, opposed as a result of centuries of genocide and Great-Serbian colonialism on the Albanian nation and the indigenous territories of natural Ethnic Albania. Otherwise, Europe and the Balkans will confront again upon the invading politics and genocide of todays democratic Serbia, a state that has traditionally had the support of Russia. Precisely, it was these illusions and utopian ideas of Serbia that amounted to produce enough of an influence upon Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church that they selected their fanatical and fallacious messiah Slobodan Milosevic, a disastrous result of Serbian collective paranoia, nationalism, and auto-destructive Serb-centrism. Apparent by the three military and paramilitary aggressions and genocides committed in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosova (1992-1999), these factors clearly had negative consequences on Serbias general church and state policy. If these horrible, antihuman, antidemocratic, uncivilized and criminal acts of Milosevics Serbia against the mentioned ex-Yugoslavian countries are not taken into account seriously, and if the independence of Kosova is rejected, theres no doubt that current Serbian authorities (President Boris Tadic, Prime Ministers Vojislav Kostunica and Vuk Jeremic, Tomislav Nicolic, and bishop Artemije Radosavljevic) will finish their political and ecclesiastical careers like Slobodan Milosevic. The Belgrade government, all Serbian extremist elements and the Serbian Orthodox Church led by Bishop Artemije Radosavljevic should understand very clearly that only through the achievement of a rational political compromise will there be a guaranty of Serbias access into the European Union (EU). Thus, Serbian policy, the Serbian Orthodox Church and all Serbian people should agree with Albanian bitter trust, that only after the definitive withdrawal of colonial Serbia from Kosova and the other territories of Ethnic Albania, will there be real conditions and circumstances created for normalization of the political, diplomatic, economic and commercial relations with Kosova and Ethnic Albania. Only this just and profitable compromise for both parties in the conflict can eliminate the alleged new democratic and civilized European formula created by Great-Serbian fascists and colonialists, which is reflected in the model, Kosova in Serbia, and Serbia in Europe. Such an ideology is a direct historical, political and propagandistic product of Great Serbia which can be traced back to the ideas articulated in Ilia Grasanins Nacertania (1844). Similar products such as Memorandum (1986) released by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts as well as other anti-Albanian genocide memorandums and projects of the Serbian Orthodox Church were created in order to promote enlargement of territories of Great Serbia, also providing rationale to exterminate the historical continuity of Albanian extermination, as territories of Ethnic Albania were broken and conquered. Theres no way to recognize this in the 21st century without taking into consideration Serbias official policies addressing Albanians, particularly when it comes to their objection of Kosovas independence. The recognition of Kosovas independence is no precedence, neither for international law nor to the peace and stability of the Balkans, such as is speculated by the antidemocratic and propagandistic politics of the Belgrade-based government and the Serbian Orthodox Church, who are by whatever means fighting to convince Europe and America that Kosova is the cradle and heart of Serbia. As mentioned above, the matter of Kosovas independence is not problematical in any aspect, be it historical, juridical, political, democratic or ethnic minority related, but for the time being it is still an unresolved colonial issue like the Albanian National question in the Balkans. Good Morning, and happy birthday my independent Kosova! Sunday, February 17, 2008 was a grandiose day for all Albanians and their friends all of the world who supported them to be free from Serbian colonialism and hegemony because of fact that Kosovas Parliament declares independence of Kosova, which the day after immediately was recognized by the United States of America and some of European Union countries such United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Austria..., etc. Therefore, by rights that day we can call as a historical because Kosova for the first time in its history becomes independent and sovereign state in Balkans. Indeed, for that day Albanians have been waited long time almost 100 hundred years by reason of Serbias colonialism and annexation of Kosova(1912-1999). According to history and international law Kosovo deserves to be independent and recognized by the international community, regardless of Russias illegitimate contradiction that unilateral recognition independence of Kosovo is precedence and crushing of the international law. This appraisal is inexistent because of fact that historically and juridical, Kosova has never been legal part of Serbia, but only as an illegal and alienated part of its territory and sovereignty which has fissured from the indigenous territory of the Ethnic Albania by force and genocide supported from the Russia and European Great Powers in the London Conference of Ambassadors (1913). Its worth fact to remember Serbias authorities and its scholars, that when Serbia has been recognized as an independent state by European Great Powers in Berlins Congress in 1878, then Kosovo wasnt within its territorial and state sovereignty, but under the Ottoman Empire until 1912, However, this truth de facto and de jure Serbia and Serbs know very well, but they have never accepted it as such, because it was in favor of their colonial interests in Kosova, and other territories of the Ethnic Albania (such is Presheva, Bujaboci and Medevegja). Thank you America! For rescue over two millions people, support and recognition of independence of Kosova ( beside the Kosova Liberation Army-KLA- UK-Ushtria lirimtare e Kosovs) is meritorious the United States of America with its direct historical, political, diplomatic, economic, humanitarian, military, juridical and peace-loving deed. This is a main human and rational reason why all Albanians people in Balkans and all of the world must be grateful and loyal ally, good and confident friend united for ever with our loved homeland America. Thank you Amereica! Long live America! United we stand for ever! _____________ *Author is Ph.D. in International Relations
