The resistance in Hong Kong is headed by university students, high school student, youths of all walks of life. Here in the USA Ferguson resistance is headed by youths. When we stand silent and witness over 400 young black men labled as criminals systematically executed and the nation stood silently then than silent act us worst than those who participated in the executions. Any viable and successful protest must involve peoples power and the exercise must be loud enough for the oligarchy to hear, uncomfortable enough so they cannot sleep. Let us guard against apathy and being the custodians of a Guyana that produces docile and backward youths hanging their heads like tear drops falling into their bosom. There is no need to be friends but if we create the climate of distrust, absolute power, and blind obedience then we Will all be consumed by Chickunguna and and ebola and garbage and floods then there will be no one to demonstrate against and we will have no enemies. If we mouzel the peoples will and Shepherd them into cowardice then we will only speak in muted silence and protest in circular style. Is Guyana a political conundrum or a social experiment in backwardness and docility. Now the No Confidence Motion is off the table as is demonstrated by the conduct of Amna Ally - Chief Whip of APNU and Gail Teixeira - Chief Whip of the PPP/C. Todate the PPP/C government has not set a date for the next parliamentary sitting, because the Chief Whips on both sides of the political spectrum could not agree on a date. The PPP/C government and oligarchy would do well to stall the entire process until 2016 and beyond since they recognize the testicular weakness of the opposition and the cries of the people is muzzled by letter writing, the sort applicable to jilted lovers.
