By Patrick Akoto Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has been linked with a loan move to Stoke City in a rumour that will whet the lips of many local fans. The Al Ain attacker is reportedly on £150,000 a week at the United Arab Emirates side but is reported to be interested in a move back to the Premier League to put himself in top shape ahead of June World Cup in Brazil. According to reports in the English media, Stoke are battling West Ham for his signature in a move which will see him return to the English Premier League after excelling heavily during his spell at Sunderland in 2010. The two clubs are in a two-horse race to entice the red-hot striker to their fold with Stoke keen to gazump their fellow Premier League side for his signature. Gyan has not ruled out the possibility of returning to England even though AI Ain are reluctant to discuss his future as interest from stellar clubs in Europe grows. The Black Stars ace has made 76 appearances for Ghana and had spells in Europe with Udinese, Modena and Rennes prior to joining Sunderland.
