By Plez Lovelady Jr. Many of us make the same mistake. During those difficult times we have the tendency to forget that God has promised to uniquely develop us through our trials. He has told us to “consider it all joy….when we are confronted with various trials” (James 1:2) and that we are to “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7). When the mountainous shackles of life threaten to destroy our very souls, we can rest assuredly, that our God has promised to take us to the other side, even when our natural thinking takes over and we lose all hope of survival. We must never assume that there won’t be trials as we sail through life. Yes, trials are those treasures that God has given to each of us. But only when we dig for them will we find that every purposeful trial in life can be more precious than silver or gold.
