By ROBERT WINKLER The Desert Independent June 21, 2013 BLYTHE, Calif – On Monday June 17, at about 10:00 at night, Blythe Police responded to the 300 block of N. Lovekin, in regarding to a traffic collision. The responding officers found that a Ford Focus, driven by 26 year old Howard Greenway of Yucca Valley, had struck a parked car. Officers found that Greenway had been driving northbound when he veered to the right, and struck the Toyota Camry parked on the east side of the road. The Camry moved forward and struck a Ford pickup parked in front of it. Greenway was the only one in the Focus and was not injured. Investigation by officers found that Greenway was driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody, transported to the police department, and later released on his written promise to appear. The case will be submitted to the District Attorney for filing of charges. Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
