By Salahuddin Lives of Sindh Chief Minister and 170 MPAs in danger at the assembly building due to improper security arrangements : Durrani KARACHI: The Sindh assembly building located in Red zone has been declared highly dangerous and insecure and any thing can happen any time. This was disclosed to The Ary News by Sindh assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani here on Sunday . He said the building has no proper security gates. He said the Inspector general Police Sind has been sent repeated letters through the speaker for providing proper security arrangements but all requests have been turned to deaf ears. Durrani said he has also been asked to meet personally but no proper attention has been given by IG police Sindh, he added . He said Sindh chief minister, 170 MPAs and various diplomats arrive at this building daily. The sindh assembly is opposite Sindh High court and government main offices The office of Sindh chief secretary is adjacent to Sindh assembly building, he maintained. The crimes branch has declared this building dangerous but assembly is facing serious shortage of funds due to which proper security gates cannot be installed . He said due to not availability of funds no development towards security can take place. He said private security agencies have been contacted but the paucity of funds was hampering all security arrangements. He said not every dick tom and harry can enter the building by just giving 500 bugs to police. He further said police has also been asked to establish extra police kiosks at the entrance of the assembly and at the main entrance of the main hall way of the assembly. DIG crimes branch Shahid Hayat has declared this building highly dangerous and asked to install proper security gadgets or any thing can happen. He said building is an old obsolete and this building has to be declared as heritage. He said this is an 100 year old building and its various sections have gone outdated. Durrani said that new building has to be completed by this year as it should have been completed last year.
