He has gone hungry in Kamiti, Shimo La Tewa and all the major maximum prisons in this country while being taken round on solitary confinement. He has had to live without seeing his own family for eons. All these and many more in sustained quest for a more democratic, freer space within the Republic of Kenya. So, tonight, do not make fun. Do not cry for him. Instead, continue weeping for yourselves. Second, The State and its agents, including its retinue of mouthy politicians & test-tube bloggers, must not belittle the Kwale incident in any sarcastic manner whatsoever. It is the SOLE responsibility of the State to ensure and guarantee the round-the-clock security of Fmr Prime Minister of The Republic of Kenya, Raila Amolo Odinga, just like it does to its former Presidents Daniel and Mwai. This is an opportunity for it to carefully relook the moves of its self-seeking, tribal officials that have relentlessly fought to water down the measures put in place by the Inspector General of Police in these fronts with regard to Mr. Odingas security operations round the country. Fact of Raila Odinga having his own Israel-trained, or Wherever-trained Details, cannot take away this. Third, We have, with hawk-eyes, carefully, very very carefully so, studied the latest trend of intolerance and violence meted on CORD officials and Pesa Mashinani teams out for signature collections in the country-side. There is a spirited effort by those keen on manuring the frontal lawns of the status quo to portray a fake, dreamy atmosphere that Kenyans are oppoesed to Referendum- that millions of suffering citizens are not wont to having more monies sent down to them to finance more of their own prioritized development projects in the villages. So they sponsor violence in Nandi. They burn Pesa Mashinani booklets in Nakuru. They have bullets sprinkled in Makueni. Fourth, And imperatively so, they were keener on seeing another filthy, bloodier gun incident in Kwale today once Odinga aides opened fire on that man. There was to be haphazard exchange of fire and by now the story would have been different and more on the CASUALTY than the bakora-spotting old man who would have been no more with no story on his head. #oknyalchalonu.
