By, Tim Galvin “THE 8TH DAY ALSO CALLED, THE LAST GREAT DAY!” “THE PROPHETIC MEANING OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES!” “THE FIRST DAY OF TABERNACLES” Leviticus 23:39-41 KJV - Also in the Fifteenth day of the Seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yahuah seven days: on the First Day shall be a Sabbath, and on the Eighth Day shall be a Sabbath! 40) And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yahuah your Elohim seven days! 41) And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yahuah seven days in the year! It shall be a statute Forever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month! In the middle of seventh Scriptural month the harvesting from the threshing-floors and the winepresses would have been completed! Which Prophetically means, the Harvesting of the Saints, and the Grape Crushing of the Wicked on the Earth, will have been completed! The feast days themselves were a celebration for all that YAHUAH had done for the people! They celebrated the harvest that YAHUAH had blessed them with, for they knew that all blessings were from HIM. The Last Great Day was the conclusion of the feasts for the year! The people did, No work, on the Last Great Day, but devoted the day unto thanksgiving and prayer! We have looked at the literal aspect of The Last Great Day, but now let’s consider what Prophetic and Spiritual aspect the day may hold. The Feast of Tabernacles could be likened to YAHUSHA’S Great Return as King! The whole week of the feast days before the Last Great Day are spent preparing for the final day of the feasts, the 8th Day, much the same way that we should be striving to prepare ourselves for YAHUSHA’S return! Revelation 20:4-6 - And I saw Thrones, and they sat upon them, (The 12 Apostles) and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the Witness of Yahusha, and for the word of Elohim (The Law), and which had not worshipped the Beast (Islam), neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years! 5) But the Rest of the Dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection! 6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of the Father and His Son, and shall reign with him a thousand years! The Feast of Tabernacles at YAHUSHA’S return will hold for us great joy! It will be the Great Wedding Day of the Bride of MESSI-YAH to MESSIYAH HIMSELF. Our Saviour will return to us and we will be filled with praise and thanksgiving to the One who loves us! It will be a day of untold bliss! Our hearts will be comforted as we rest with YAHUSHA THE MESSIYAH. This is the First Resurrection! “THE LAST GREAT DAY OF THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES” Since Yom Teruah (Trumpets) points to Christs return, Yom Kippur (Atonement) foreshadows the binding of Satan, and the Feast of Tabernacles pictures the first 1,000 years, and 1st resurrection of the Saints, after Messiah returns to establish the Kingdom of Elohim! The Feast of Tabernacles not only represents the Wedding Day and the Millennium, it’s also a Prophecy of another great event to occur on the 8th Day! The Eighth Day pictures the time that follows the 1,000 years! This Day begins with the White Throne Judgment! “THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT” The second resurrection includes the White Throne Judgment, which takes place at the end of Messiahs millennial reign! Remember that the first resurrection is to eternal life and the second resurrection is for the wicked dead to receive their Judgment who had been dead for 1000 years until the end of the millennium! Revelation 20:5 - But the Rest of the Dead lived not again until the Thousand Years were finished! When John writes that The Rest of the Dead did not Live again until the Thousand Years were Finished, he makes a clear distinction between the First Resurrection, which occurs at Messiahs second coming and a Second Resurrection, which will happen to the wicked who were not resurrected during the first resurrection! Thus begins the White Throne Judgment! Why are the wicked made to wait until the end of the Millennium to be judged you might ask? Because as the end of the Millennium approaches, satan will be loosed once more to deceive the people and the nations, and those who rebel against Yahuah at that time, at the end of the 1000 year millennium, will also have their part in the Great White Throne Judgment along with the wicked who have been waiting for 1000 years for their Judgment! To rebel against Yahuah after having spent 1000 years with Him would be a great Sin indeed! Notice also that by the time of the Great White Throne Judgment Heaven and Earth is no longer in existence! Revelation 20:11-12 - Then I saw a Great White Throne and Him who sat on it, from Whose face the earth and the heaven fled away… And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books, according to their works.” Revelation 20:13-15 (KJV) - And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works! 14) And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the Second Death! 15) And Whosoever was not found Written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire! The Final Judgment of the Wicked is Terrible indeed! “CONCLUSION OF THE LAST GREAT 8TH DAY OF TABERNACLES” Another Prophetic understanding of the 8th Day is that it represents the eternal state, eternity, which starts with a New Heaven and a New Earth and a New City called, “New Jerusalem” coming down out of Heaven for the Saints of Yahuah! Eternity with the Father will begin with a new Heaven and a New Earth! Isaiah 65:17 (KJV) - For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind! Revelation 21:1 (KJV) - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea! After the New Heaven and New Earth are created we see once again in scripture that the 8th Day will be the eternal state that will never end! Revelation 21:1-5 (KJV) - And I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea! 2) And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from Elohim out of heaven, prepared as a Bride adorned for her Husband! 3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the Tabernacle of Yahuah is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Yahuah Himself shall be with them, and be their Elohim! 4) And Elohim shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away! 5) And He that sat upon the Throne said, Behold, I make all things new! And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful! For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and YAHUAH shall wipe away all tears from their eyes!” And in Revelation 21:6 “And he said unto me, It is done! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely! “CIRCUMCISION ON THE 8TH DAY” In Genesis 17:12, Yahuah commanded Abraham to circumcise baby boys on the eighth day of their lives! Why only on the 8th day? Is there any good, rationale behind such a commandment? Leviticus 12:3 (KJV) - And In the Eighth Day the Flesh of His Foreskin Shall Be Circumcised! This represents the eighth day after the Millennium and after the Great White Throne Judgment! Where only those who have their Hearts Circumcised will enter into eternity with Yahuah and His Son and the second death will have no power over them! How do we know this? We have a likeness and shadow in the Old Testament of those who were circumcised physically, but not in their Hearts? Joshua 5:3-8 (KJV) - And Joshua made him sharp knives, and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins! 4) And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt! 5) Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised! 6) For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of Yahuah: unto whom Yahuah swore that He would not shew them the land which He swore unto their fathers that He would give, a land that floweth with milk and honey! 7) And their children, whom He raised up in their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, because they had not circumcised them by the way! 8 ) And it came to pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole! The first thing we need to understand about Israel in the wilderness is that Israel hardened their hearts! In the wilderness, the Israelites hardened their hearts and rebelled against Yahuah. They tested and tried Yahuah with their lack of faith! And that is the reason they did not enter Yahuahs Promised Land. Yahuah became angry with that generation in the wilderness because of their persistent rebellion! - (Psa. 106:13-33). And so in Numbers 14:22-24 and 26-35, Yahuah swore that they would not enter His rest! Of all of those who left Egypt over the age of twenty, only Joshua and Caleb entered the Promised Land. All the rest of the Israelites, of which there were 603,548 men, died in the wilderness! Because of their hardened uncircumcised hearts, Israel had departed from Yahuah! And had rebelled against Him! And because of their rebellion, they fell short of the Canaan rest that had been promised to them! This is a likeness and representative of why Circumcision was only done on the 8th day and that only those with Circumcised Hearts will enter into the Promise Land on the Eighth Day, which is Eternity in New Jerusalem! Shalom Saints
