By Wednesday evening I will have been home for two weeks! This is a major accomplishment in itself. Im doing pretty good. The last couple of days have been a bit harder due to a bit more nausea, but not anything to worry about since Im not losing any fluids. Im still trying to build muscle back in my legs and hips which may take a few months to regain it all. Any time I walk there is a good bit of pain in my joints because my joints are taking all of my weight at the moment, rather than the muscles that help keep everything together and give the strength needed for walking. I have had to go back to using my walker to relieve pressure until I do build up those muscles. Simple things like getting up off the floor are not possible for me right now, but Ill get there with work. Ive been told that Im not allowed to cook yet because of the past syncopal episodes and have to wait for three months with no episodes before I can. It is also the same for driving. Now that Im home, I see all the things that need attention, but Im unable to do them yet. Im being good and not trying to tackle them, especially since Ive had difficulties after cleaning the kitchen last week. I did fine cleaning, but the next day came some serious pain from overdoing it. Yes, I learned my lesson. Taking it one day at a time. I have an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday because my J Tube started leaking and now the suture has come undone that was securing it, so it looks like they will be removing it. Yay! My heart rate still gets up into the 120s and 130s from a resting rate of 50s and 60s, but not all the time. Even though I still have a bit to go to recovery, I am so thankful to be home! God is so good! Thank you for your continuos prayers! We are so thankful for all of you!
