A happy greeting from Johnny or Hack, A smile from Charlene at the cafe is why I always come back. At the book sales were I get my PHD When its fancy dress you get an upgrade for free. The banter and craic from Ciaran, Aisling, Aine and Fra, Is better than a break at any top spa. I go to my table Ive sat there for years It’s seen me sweat, cry, check and spill lots of beers. Ive got my books and markers at the ready. My heart is racing my hands are sweaty. Its 10 past 8 and all eyes are down. Will I have a smile or a great big frown? 6 and 3 63, 4 0 blind 40, 2 and 8 28, CHECK Ive checked wow this is great. In the break and out for a smoke, a giggle with the girls over a dirty joke. Back into bingo for the 3 page book and the 15 to 1. These are my favourites even though Ive never won. But as always Ill say tonights the night, when I shout check and scream in delight.
