By all means SING! Isaiah 12:5 - Sing to the LORD, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth. Singing lifts the spirit like nothing else can, especially when singing to the LORD! Why should we sing to Him? Isaiah says it is because of the excellent things He (God) has done. He who understands our thoughts from afar (Psalm 139:2), most definitely understands EVERY language, EVERY tongue, EVERY dialect sung on the face of planet earth! So, the lyrics of a song in, let’s say, one of the languages spoken in Kiribati will not send God scrambling for a dictionary! Why, even if we were to hum or whistle a song, He would know the words! “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. (1 Chronicles 28:9) “Oh, but I can’t hold a decent tune, how can I ever aspire to sing a melodious song to Him?”, you say. Perfect! That’s the “musical status” of most of us! Have you ever heard an infant trying to sing a song? I challenge you to find one person ALIVE, barring, of course, a few psychopaths, heartless people and the like, who would be turned off by his/her budding, singing prowess! I can just imagine the accolades that would be proffered: “So cute!”, “So adorable”, “Wow!”, “Bravo!” ¡Qué ternura!” …… What makes you think we are less of a “ternura” to God when we attempt to sing to Him? He looks at the heart and its motivations, its desire to please Him. “Clap, clap, clap”, is His delighted response …… and all the while people on earth think it is thundering …… (*_~) ♫♪ Take JOY my King in what You hear, let it be a sweet, sweet song in Your ears ♪♫ Bonochi! ♥♥♥ youtu.be/EP8IJs2C4BY
