By photographer K.C. Alfred... A side of San Diego wed rather not see, sigh. We have hot gusty Santa Ana winds, temperatures of 100ish and are in a massive drought. We NEVER get Santa Anas in May, theyre typically in August or September. So far 1000s have been evacuated, several dozen homes destroyed and thousands of acres of land burned, animals perished and firefighters exhausted. Our prayers & thoughts are with those affected, those fighting the blazes (now 9 separate fires I think?) and those who lost everything. Weve been dreading this since the first Santa Ana last month.
