Cops warned to return JCF property on leaving force Police personnel who fail to return Government property in their possession when they leave the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) will have the cost of the items deducted from their pension benefits and other entitlements. Police Commissioner Owen Ellington says starting January next year, those persons who are delinquent in returning Government property will have their pictures published in the media after efforts to retrieve them are unsuccessful. The new measures were published in the weekly Force Orders issued to members of the JCF. They come amid concerns that police personnel who have been discharged, dismissed, or otherwise separated from the force, have failed to turn over vests, caps and other government property issued to them. There have been several instances where these items have been obtained by criminals.
