By the grace of the Almighty God the giver of grace & strength, I blv still in the promise of my country Nigeria to fulfil her God-given potential despite all these obstacles. What I find most frustrating is that most of our obstacles are man-made !!! ... I mean self-inflicted wounds!!! ... I mean needless deaths!!! Nigeria & Nigerians if given the chance by our govt can be a glorious addition to mankind but not with a section of the country tying the rest of us down. Im so appalled at how primitive the Northerners have been in just creating needless embarrassment for the rest of us. Or how can the North produce 70% of Nigerias leaders spanning about 4 decades and what have they showed so far??? 80% illiteracy level of their own generation, pervasive poverty all over the North, extreme & excessive religious zealotry to the detriment of common sense that shd be common to man.... so if theres anyone to blame now, shouldnt they be asking their leaders what they were doing when the likes of the Awolowos , The Akintolas, The Azikiwes, The Okotiebos, The Enahoros, Even down to the MKO Abiola ... and a host of Southerners all of blessed memory ... when those trailblazers were putting pedal to the metal in the advancement of their peoples, what were the Northerners doing ... oh, I guess they were busy marrying many wives, forcing the opium of zealotry down their peoples throat and generally devolving the creative thinking of their own people. So now, its close to dawn and what has been sown in the dark is now being revealed by the light of dawn.The Nigerian saga is now a tale of two nations, in which one has become so toxic and gangrenous while the other has become so pluralistic & prosperous. Living tissue abhors gangrene ... the two parts dont really belong to each other ... they are both running but in different direction, both desirous but for different destinies, both acquiring one in nobility and the other in ignominy. How can we then forge alliance with different opinions, like the course of two parallel lines which shd never have met in the first place. How long can we endure this unholy alliance, The Northern elders have embraced Boko Haram to their peril,,, or how can we nurture a military who can only assassinate Nigerian best & brightest but when it comes to taking out foreign foe, they feign being powerless. How can the same Nigerian military defend the peace in Liberia, Bosnia, Kongo, and now when duty calls for the defense of fatherland now tethering and stuttering in excuses of why they couldnt shouldnt or wouldnt ... Im no fan of GEJ, not with the level of incompetence displayed so far but why would the North be staging an armed banditry to usurp his govt ...especially when they themselves have offered next to nothing for years of their hegemony. Why is Nigeria recycling, dead logs, tired old leaders when the likes of Fashola, and a few others are being stiffled in a nation of 170million ppl of immense talent ...??? These are the questions that beggars my imagination. Was it not Balarabe Musa that said while lamenting the illiteracy level in the North, he said ... ... it is unfortunate that the North were busy forcing down the South with quota system when we could have partnered with their visionary minds like Awolowo in creating mass education for all our peoples. He said it was after the North rejected the Awolowo plan of free UPE, that he implemented over his own ppl ... and the result is so freaking clear ...! I really dont know how long Nigeria can keep running in different directions, the North is being dragged down under the weight of religious zealotry while gangrene or the cancerous lesion spreads to the South ... stench of its detritus pollutes the Nigerian atmosphere ... for how long can Nigeria endure these embarrassment always from the Northern kinsmen, if theyre not burning houses today, theyre killing youth corpers tomorrow, or kidnapping girls or running after pregnant women ... just catalogue of ignorant theatrical displays that belongs to prehistoric era of barbarism. Its a tale of 2 countries, 2 parallel lines that shd never have crossed!
