By the people for the people (the lost principle) * I would like to place on record that I give no political party or politician my blind support and allegiance unless it brings back the principle of by the people for the people. It must stand before the people and swear; I will place no party above the people - I will hold the people to be the Republic and not any party or individual - I will support a party that helps the people and not robs them of their future, their money or their dreams nor is corrupt, nor betrays them, nor places itself in a position of unaccountability - nor stifles their voices even if it disagree with them - nor makes itself their god instead of their servant - if it struggles for Africas economic freedom and independence - if it removes the unjust grip that foreign entities like the IMF and World bank have on our Republic and people - if it moves away from the neo liberal agenda and the Washington Consensus - if it restructures the political system and ensures all politicians are held accountable and can be recalled or removed by the people themselves if it ensures that all political entities and politicians are equal before the law and can be tried by the peoples tribunals - if it ensures that the people can govern through referendums and other mechanisms so that the real power is located amongst the people and they can control their destinies - if they enact legislation that makes corruption a crime of treason against the people - if it provides decent quality housing for the People if it can address the land issue in a just and balanced fashion if it can address the economic inequalities prevalent in our country if it can remove our dependence on external entities and develops our own capacity and will restore the dignity of our people if it can invest in education and ensure education free for every citizen if any party can do the above it has my vote and allegiance (can your party do this)
