By the way, we Buor shouldn’t make noise about the leaked tape - TopicsExpress

By the way, we Buor shouldn’t make noise about the leaked tape implicating the Widow. South Sudan is currently upside down. Thanks to the country’s politicians and actually, all of us. Buor should remember that this is politics, deadly politics. There’s no neutral ground. You’re either with the government or with the rebels. I don’t care whether Rebecca Nyandeng inked a deal with the rebels to spare Twic East but attack Bor County or not. Leaders lead. That’s their duty, their obligation. They do what’s good for the people they represent. They protect them, prevent any imminent danger. If it is true, then Nyandeng has done the right thing. She did what was best for her people. Period. A leader can be defined as somebody whom people follow, or as somebody who guides or directs others. Extraversion, intelligence and self-efficacy are some of the traits a leader possesses. Like it or not, Nyandeng is a leader, at least to her folks. She saved her birthplace from the wrath of the marauding White Army. If it wasn’t for her – that’s if the recording is genuine – her county would have been wiped out on the face of the earth. Twic East would be ‘panom aper’ right now. A leader that does not protect the interests of her subjects is better off dead. Thus, let’s not blame it on her but let’s ask ourselves the following questions: Where the hell was Kuol Manyang? As a son and leader, why couldn’t he avert the disaster? Where was Michael Makuei Lueth? As a son and leader, what the hell did he do to save Bor from the jaws of the conflict? Where the hell were all influential and able Bor sons and daughters? Where the hell were they, uh? So, I’m urging you to stop dancing to the beats of the recording because it is a waste of time.
