By way of contrast, Hitchens measured and intellectually rigorous comments expose Bill Maher for the pompous, attention-craving generalizer that he is. If there is to be any serious discussion of the merits and demerits of various religious doctrines as guides for human life, Hitchens approach was a move in a more respectable direction. At least he did his homework and he doesnt pander to bigots. Louts and bigots lack the patience and the mental resources to appreciate this sort of argumentation anyway.
