He may have managed to avoid serious injury, but Byron Bay cyclist Anthony Condon can confirm he was the star of a YouTube video that shows his dramatic flip over the handlebars while cycling in a bunch at 30 mph. . I sort of did the somersault. In no way was this controlled, or managed, or organised. The next thing I was sitting on the road. I was very lucky to not have been badly injured. It was pure luck. . The 55-year-old was riding with a group from the Byron Bay Cycle Club when an out-of-place aluminium bar forced his wheel to lock up, which caused his body to flip over the handlebars and onto the road. Fortunately the cyclist walked away unscathed, except for a few bruises and minor cuts. The flip was captured on a camera which was attached to a bicycle riding in front of Condon. Fellow rider Jason Hardy uploaded the video to YouTube, and it has since been viewed over a million times. .
