C.A.R.E really were at the infamous Moran Market as part of their: We, CARE, did STOP IT! Campaign in Moran market (One of the biggest outdoor markets which is popular for dog meat sales ) and Gangnam, Itaewon, Myungdong, Hongdae area. We called yeas and nays for using dogs for food and did one-man protest inside the market. There was a little collision between the protester and sellers but the policeman stopped them. The result of pros and cons for banning the use of dog was pros was most voted overwhelmingly except for one cons and the people passed by were showed us their concerns about eating dog culture. There were overwhelmed attentions from News media and the STOP IT campaign has finished successfully in Moran. After that we headed to Gangnam, Myungdong, Hongdae, Itaewon and there we showed people our documentary “Dog Meat” which investigators in CARE had worked on for about three years and people wrote a little message to Pre.Park about banning use of dogs for food. We went to many different places in Seoul for STOP IT! Campaign and people gave us impression that they are changing their thoughts of eating dogs. Especially people in younger generation don’t think eating dogs is not a culture anymore. And we, CARE, will try our best to make the desire of banning eating dogs and to make it legal not to eat dogs. ---------------------------------------------- CARE is the biggest & most active animal rights organization in South Korea and 100% donation based.
